I mentioned the stuff you were making and they were all excited to look at your blog and oohed and ahhed over your patterns and knitted items! It really is fun to see what you are up to!<BR/><BR/>Now I will get to the sourdough story! With all that "throwing out" - I guess that is why folks give away the sourdough starter in my day! Rather than throwing it out - many years ago I would get a small container of sourdough starter with directions. I'd end up with my bread and a number of "starters" to give to friends. I think it might have even been called "friendship bread" or something like that!
